So as some of you may know, I turned 19 on February 26th. I feel that with this new age, comes a lot of exciting things, and goals for myself. I saw on some other blog a similar birthday goal list thingy, so I am going to do the same. Some are serious, some are ridiculous. Just go with it.
- Wear more lipstick. I feel more confident when my lips are bright. Even though I am obsessive compulsive with checking to make sure its perfect.
- Start working in a boutique. Now that I know what I want to do with my life, its time to start working towards that ultimate goal.
- Be more financially responsible.
- Get interested in cooking. Home cooked meals are always good, I need to stop being so lazy and start taking advantage of my kitchen.
- Wear more vintage. Forever 21 and H&M are great, but there is something about vintage that makes you feel so cool and unique.
- Keep up with speaking french. I really don't want to learn all of the years of hard work I have put in.
- See the Avett Brothers in concert. I think I could die happy after that.
- Keep sewing. I love love love making tote bags. (I would love to sell them at a local market or something one day.) I have so much more to learn with my sewing machine.
- Read more. Seriously. I can't remember the last book I've read for fun.
- keep growing my hair out.
- Learn to scuba dive. Random, I know, but I have been dying to take classes for a while.
- stop being so manipulative and impatient with my family. More and more I realize that I am extremely selfish when I am around them, or rather, my mom likes to point that out. I don't like that about me, it needs to change.
- Kayak more. I love kayaking so much, I have not done it in forever. Kayaking the Puget Sound is the best thing in the world.
- Go on a road trip with my besties. That must happen this summer.
- Learn to play a musical instrument. of any sort.
- Get a second tattoo, I already have some ideas in mind :)
- give more hugs. I am not a hugger. I am awkward and not a touchy person. I think I would be a lot more personable if I gave hugs.
- Stop finding the annoying, ignorant, irritating sides in every person I meet and find the good. I am so judgmental and I feel like it closes me off to a lot of possible friendships.
- Fall in love. Isn't that every girl's dream since they came out of the womb?

ReplyDeleteOut of all those goals listed above you can't go wrong with putting in a lot of effort with # 18. Remember your ability to get along with others and working to better your social skills will account for up to 85% of your success in life.
The health of your personality is only as good as to the degree you look for the good in other people and situations. It is unhealthy when it is the opposite.
Eliminate condemnation, criticizing and complaining and watch how things get better for you.
